Haroon Khan, CPA, CA, CPA (Illinois)
Founder & Tax Partner

Haroon Khan is the Founder and Tax Partner of IC Tax & Accounting Services, a Canadian CPA firm specializing in Canadian, U.S., and international taxation. With more than 15 years of experience in public accounting, Haroon advises individuals, entrepreneurs, Canadian-controlled private corporations, and multinational organizations on complex domestic, cross-border, and international tax matters.
Prior to founding IC Tax in 2019, Haroon served as a Tax Partner at a large multinational tax advisory firm, where he advised clients on complex Canadian and international tax matters.
During his career, he recognized that many tax professionals specialize in either Canadian domestic taxation or international tax, while relatively few develop expertise in both. This inspired him to build a practice that combines these disciplines, enabling clients to receive comprehensive tax advice from a single trusted advisor.
Today, Haroon works with multinational organizations, privately held businesses, investors, and cross-border individuals, helping them navigate complex Canadian and U.S. tax rules, implement tax-efficient structures, and manage international tax risks. His practice includes corporate tax planning, cross-border taxation, international tax structuring, corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, tax compliance, and strategic tax advisory services.
Haroon holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Toronto. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) in Canada and a licensed U.S. Certified Public Accountant (Illinois). He has also completed CPA Canada’s prestigious In-Depth Tax Program, one of Canada’s most comprehensive advanced tax specialization programs.
In addition to his client work, Haroon is committed to advancing the tax profession through education. He serves as an instructor for CPA Canada, teaching Professional Development seminars, the Professional Education Program (PEP), and the In-Depth Tax Program. He has also served as a lecturer at the Schulich School of Business at York University, where he taught taxation to both MBA and undergraduate business students.
